SIRHO (Information Systems and Human Resources in Organizations) is a research group at the University of Alicante.\u00a0SIRHO is involved in the research and teaching in several topics related to the concept of EDUWORK Project, like Information Management, Competency Management, Job knowledge Management and Human Resources Management. SIRHO is cooperating with KBS &amp; KM (USIEGEN) and also the entire EDUWORKS consortium to support achieving project\u00a0objectives.<\/p><p><strong>Keynote speeches<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two keynote speeches will be given. Fabio Manca, economist at\u00a0OECD (The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), will talk about labor economics, and Dragan Gasevic, a Professor and Chair in Learning Analytics and Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, will talk about learning analytics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Courses\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Career Management Skills and Employability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vicente Sabater and Susana de Juana will give a seminar on\u00a0\u201cCareer management skills and employability\u201d. In this course our goal is to have\u00a0the students reflect on\u00a0their current skills and potential talents that\u00a0they can offer to the labor market, whether they choose a career inside or outside\u00a0academia.\u00a0 We want to encourage students to\u00a0be aware of their own strengths and weaknesses when thinking of career possibilities. With this information, they should be able to start designing their employment strategy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commercial\u00a0Awareness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mayo De Juan will conduct the seminar entitled \u201cCommercial Awareness\u201d. Having the right skills and experience isn\u2019t always enough to secure you the job, you must know how to market yourself effectively to really get noticed. If you\u2019re looking for your ideal job, you\u2019ll need to release your inner sales person to really catch a prospective employer\u2019s eye. In other words, you need personal marketing and strategies for your target audience and position your brand to meet with their demands. In this course you will learn how to do it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intellectual Property Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eva Toledo will give a seminar on\u00a0\u201cIntellectual Property Management\u201d. The goal of this seminar is to offer a wide approach to creativity and innovation and how its protection could develop a competitive advantage sustainable over time. In the current context being the first is not enough anymore. We must look for offering a different value\u00a0for consumers. IP constitutes a legal barrier for competitors but also physiological barriers.
